The new year will soon bring a new way for Wichita Falls residents to pay their city water bill. The city is preparing to replace the current drive through window at the water department with JACK, which is short for Justified Automated Collections Kiosk. Utility officials say JACK arrived just before Christmas and will soon allow customers to pay their bills any time of the day or night. |

"This will allow customers to pay their bills 24 hours a day, cash, check, credit card. It will give you change. There's a function on there for Spanish speaking customers and basically, we're going from 40 hours a week to 24 hours a day now," says Garry Capron, Wichita Falls utility collection manager. City officials expect to install JACK in about two weeks and say during that time that drive thru window will be shut down for one week. |

The City of Wichita Falls is getting the word out about a change that's coming to the water department drive-thru window. The city plans to update the water department drive-thru window to a payment kiosk. Once installed, it will allow customers to pay their water bills with either cash, check, debit or credit card. And it will be accessible 24 hours a day all year long. Construction is expected to start after the first of the year and officials say during that time the drive-thru window will be temporarily closed. |

The city has several ways customers can pay their water bill during construction. Customers can mail their payment, use the drop box, use the automated system by dialing 1-877-281-0607, pay online at WICHITAFALLSTX.gov or go inside the Water Department and pay at the customer service window. |
